Since 42 years Rural Development Trust (RDT) has been carrying out various welfare and integrated programs of development for the marginalized and underprivileged sections namely Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Castes (BC) and persons with disability (PWDs). At present RDT is working in 1694 villages spread across 59 Revenue Mandals consisting of 34 in Anantapur district, 11 in Kurnool, 7 in Mahaboobnagar and 7 in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. Among them, there are 208 villages belonging to Chenchu tribes of Nallamada forest spread across Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar and Prakasam districts of Andhra Pradesh, recently included in RDT’s programs. RDT project area is divided into 4 regions: Bukkarayasaumdram (BKS),Bathalapalli, Kadiri & Srisailam.
